After a fire levelled the McDonalds on Henderson Highway, we were called on for a complete teardown and rebuild. While we’ve worked on 20 previous McDonalds projects, this was our first one building from scratch. The build also included a new kitchen and electrical, which were completed over the winter adding to the complexity of the project.
We began by conserving as much of the existing foundation as possible, while making it bigger and better. This was a really cool project for us as it was a fully prefabricated building, where the exterior finishes were already completed when shipped.
This was a true collaboration with the McDonald’s Western Canada head office team, and we are proud to report that we met the project schedule and budget. We look forward to working on more cool prefab builds down the road!
This was our first McDonalds prefab build from scratch.
Through constant communication and collaboration with the McDonald’s Western Canada head office team, we had the building up and standing including the interior, roofing, structural membranes and fixtures within 8 days.
