New Trends for a New Decade

We recently found ourselves in a new decade, which means new trends in construction, architecture, and design! Now, not every idea or fad is going to be for everyone, but we think it’s a good idea to at least stay in the know.

Let’s take a look at what we might expect to see in the near future for hospitality designs and builds.

BACK TO EARTH

The natural world, and its preservation, has been in the public consciousness for a while now. This desire for a more environmentally-positive approach to life might take the form of larger plant installations indoors, landscape murals, and spaces that are designed to be open and airy.

TAKE (SELF) CARE

Times certainly haven’t been easy, and more than ever our population seems to value taking care of itself. This focus on self-care is sure to stick around with the inclusion of comfortable, relaxing motifs and adaptable spaces that can take the shape of whatever is needed by an individual.

“TECH” A STEP BACK

I’m definitely a fan of technology—I think lots of us are. That being said, we are seeing more and more people who want to take a step back from what can be a constant onslaught of tech. This might mean fewer fancy toys and more emphasis on human service and analog comforts (think vinyl records instead of streaming music).
