With stringent requirements for Montessori spaces—such as ample daylight, specific square footage, and green space—this project required meticulous attention to detail. Challenge

The project site was initially intended for a retail space, not designed to meet the unique needs of a daycare. As the project neared completion, we discovered that the available square footage was insufficient for the number of children the daycare intended to accommodate.

Solution

To address this issue, Tractus integrated multiple loft spaces into the design, effectively increasing the usable square footage and ensuring compliance with Montessori guidelines. This innovative approach allowed us to meet the client’s requirements without compromising on the quality or aesthetics of the space.
