This project involved a 15th floor, 10,000 square foot office renovation that took place in the heart of downtown Winnipeg. The project was completed under a construction management contract that not only had us build the space, but also engaged us early during the design phase to offer construction and costing advice to gain as much value as possible for the project. The result was a beautiful, inviting, and functional workplace that accommodated the trends of the post-COVID era.
Challenges
Our primary challenge was navigating the complexities of working within a busy office tower in downtown Winnipeg. This included managing limited parking, coordinating material deliveries, operating in an occupied building, utilizing elevators efficiently, and scheduling necessary shutdowns.
Solutions
By creating early relationships with the landlord, Artis REIT, Tractus developed a clear understanding of the building’s HVAC and electrical systems, rules, hours of operations, contact information, and the importance of consistently staying in touch.
